Montjeu was one of the greatest middle-distance racehorses of his generation and became an incredibly influential stallion. The six-time Group 1 winner had a remarkable record of producing Classic winners including an outstanding four Epsom Derby champions. Retired to Coolmore Stud in Ireland in 2001, Montjeu was crowned Champion Sire in France in 2005, further cementing his reputation as a dominant force in thoroughbred breeding.
