Danehill began his stud career in 1990, shuttling between Coolmore Stud in Ireland and Arrowfield Stud in Australia. A pioneer of the shuttle stallion era, he left a strong legacy in both hemispheres. Crowned Champion Sire in Britain and Ireland three times and in Australia an exceptional nine times, Danehill’s best progeny include Fastnet Rock, Danehill Dancer, Redoute’s Choice and Exceed and Excel. He also established himself as a prolific broodmare sire.
